I picked this disc up for my wife yesterday. I've listened to it twice and my only impression is...for the most part it's god awful. Some of the songs are almost retreads of stuff she's already done, and one called "Out of Our Heads" (which is a Bottrell credit, sorry) is a really really bad 70's style sing-a-long where she's trying to sound English or West Indian or something. Just horrible.

Some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard "Daddy's in the hallway hanging pictures on the wall/Mamma's in the kitchen making casseroles for all" and "Every man is his own prophet/Every prophet just a man". "Children of Abraham lay down your fears, swallow your tears and look to your heart." Jeez. Someone's spent too much time with Sting.

There are a couple of decent tracks. The lullaby she wrote for her newly adopted son is very sweet, and the title track shows promise, but overall....ick.
