I think there would need to be a collective desire to fix it, Ross, but I'm not sure anybody wants to just yet. I think they like the idea that the presidency is now a golden ticket and now it really is that much more important to win it to them. This may be the greatest legacy of Bushco, maybe even more damaging than the Iraq war.On Obama, my "unmitigated disaster" feeling really has little to do with what he may do but more to do with how important it will be to certain people that he fail miserably...and I do believe that there are people that will go to any length, and I do mean any, to see that happens. If you combine that with how difficult a task it will be to take over from Bushco...well...it could easily become a train wreck very quickly. Still, I'd rather roll the dice with Obama than have somebody like Clinton.
