I don't agree that "they" would kill him...although I'm sure that the KKK and neo-nazi cells, which are alive and well in this country, may feel it would be better to kill a BLACK man than let him sit in the WHITE house.

To the Republicans though I think a live failure is better than a dead martyr any day. So, I think they would be more concerned with making him look bad and hindering any progress he may try to make to set themselves up for the next election cycle. Let's face it, Obama is a young guy and to have him be a living, breathing, walking around disgrace to the Democrats for many years to come would be, as the commercials say, priceless!

The thing is I get the feeling Obama is about to see his campaign enter a death spiral of epic proportions...when Republicans and Democrats are uniting to end his candidacy (and maybe his political career -the Clintons really do play hardball) I think it may be best if he starts re-reading Dante.
