I agree. He doesn't go for an overtly political message. Rather he's very analytical, and he can see things both from a US perspective and an internationalist perspective. He does write a lot of opinion pieces, and he has been wrong on occasion, but I still think he's a voice worth reading and taking into consideration. In particular, I think some of the nativist conservatives in the US could stand a little of his seasoning in the brew.(Hey, cool, we agreed on something!)
