I know what you meant but...the statement is wrong and that will be proven out in due time.
To label Obama a "country club black man" is just silly. All of the candidates, in fact, all politicians ( with possibly the exception of the late Paul Wellstone ) fall into this catagory.
While McCain has 8 or 9 homes and a stepford style trophy wife, how can you not consider him to be elite ? He earned his money the hard way, he married it. ( and divorced in order to do so ) So, is it okay to be of the "country club white man" set ? Sure it is, either way, but, it just doesn't relate with the everyday, common folk.
