I think the turnaround comes more quickly than you might imagine. We have a favorable regulatory environment for starting businesses. But the types of products that will be made aren't necessarily the same as what came before, so I'm not so sure it matters so much. For example, look at how quickly and how successfully the Japanese car makers have been able to mount production facilities in Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas.

The situation will not likely ever return to what it was in the 1950's. We're too far up the value chain for now.
