Well, it's nice that he got the chance to do that. Most folks who drive drunk and kill somebody & then flee the scene have to do their rededicating from behind bars. I'm just sayin' . . .

But wait--that's not right--he didn't flee the scene after killing somebody. He fled while that person was still alive, and she apparantly spent several agonizing hours, dying a slow, horrible death while he slept it off.

I'm with Rosskol on this one. Can't deny he did good later in his life, but don't enjoy seeing him lionized either. At least I think that was Rosskol.

Or maybe we should take another approach, and have each of our senators kill somebody so they will be spurred to greater responsibility in office. Hmmmmmmmm.
