I suggest Oakley, Kansas, a nice little town in the western part of the state.

I ran a little fencing tournament there for a few years. I picked Oakley because it's halfway between Denver and Kansas City and about the same distance from Omaha, all of which have fencing scenes.

The people in Oakley knew nothing of fencing, of course, but they couldn't have been more hospitable. They really bent over backwards to help us out.
