Hey Messybear,

I didn't know whether to reply or not - no-one else here seems either interested enough or brave enough to comment - so perhaps it's best left?

An interesting word that you used was "chivalry". I feel that it's an almost dead concept here in Australia, but have noticed that American men in particular still uphold it's values. Visiting US servicemen are revered by Australian women as they are so courteous - open doors and call them Ma'am! By contrast, Aussie men tend to be more boorish, sexist, chauvinist - you name it! (this is a generalisation, I know...). Chivalry is a lost value, but it's rather charming and I appreciate the thought behind it (and your motivation in writing in the first place).

Your other comment that interested me was that the internet is somehow "weakened" or worthless in the face of it's availability to all. Personally, I think that this is it's strength - that it can bring together people from all walks of life and of all ages to communicate with each other.

Take care, Kathryn.
