yeah I agree with David about student-level Martins..They have some plastic parts, to save on cost, but they sound great, at least when I play them..But in that price range, new?...Taylor all the way. Can't go wrong. and Guess who sells em? Guitar Center of course...I think they have an exclusive on that line. For the most part, I find stores like Guitar Center irritating, but they do have an "all acoustic" room where you can actually hear the guitar's sound, away from the kids banging away their favorite VanHalen riff on the Marshall amps..
