My first Apple has been the Ipad, which we've had since October.
As far as I know it does everything the Kindle,Nook or other E-readers plus a whole lot more.
Obviously its more expensive.
Its heavier than a kindle yes and the screen is hard to read in certain bright lights, but all in all it's been great. I am currently reading Stephen Kings Opus Under the Dome and really wish I had the e-version as it would be a lot lighter.
