Andrea, stop paying attention to politicians, no matter which side they are on. They are all in it for themselves no matter what they say. They get the best health care and and a pension because they vote it in for themselves (on my dime) I mean who wouldn't? But they are really just full of hot air. I mean sayings like "read my lips, no new taxes" or "Hope and Change" and we all saw how either of those panned out. The truth is we are broke and we need to really get back in the game if we are going to compete on a global level.

If you look at the (working) German populace right now they are furious for covering the lazy Greeks and probably even Spain and Italy too. Not to mention portugal. But those countries signed up just like politicians. But those countries have to give something up (soverienty) and are not willing to. Too late. Give me the free money. Sooner or later that money runs out and Germany learned that the hard way after the first world war during the weinmar rupublic. And they learned it well.

Somebody has to produce and Germans are doing it and so are a lot of Americans (when they get a chance). As one, I pay for half of a country that doesn't pay anything and working Germans know this too. They realize the Euro could be a plan that is destined to fail. But they will be required to pay for it (not the slackers that vote socialist) Because nobody wants to give up "free" money. But there is no free money unless you are a politician. But if you are a world currency politician like Obama, Bush, Clinton whover... you don't see it that way because you have your own printing press in what is called the Fed. Call em up and get more money (thanks Wilson you asshole). Bernanke doesn't even have a federal job but he'll be taken care of and he knows it. They all get what they wanted by spewing words and people vote for that crap. Free money. But it is never free.

But you know who is really producing and our debt laden society keeps buying (albeit cheap crap) and at the same time carrying a lot the world's debt? Yeah that is China. Do you think they won't want to get paid back eventually? Who will pay them back? Nobody has any money because everyone just wants more free money. But again it isn't free. China has financed everything on the backs of their people. But they don't actually produce anything but copies of good stuff. That Apple product you are using is fine example. Steve Jobs was a major league asshole hippocrit IMO.

China has saddled a workforce that just wants to survive like any of us...maybe get ahead a little bit. But they chain them down to a wage that will stomp anyplace on earth. And so everybody has China build their stuff. Do you not think those men and women there that work (and they all want to) don't go home thinking they should be making as much as anyone else on the planet? I mean they have kids and homes and wives too right? Don't you believe in a world democracy?

But no. They have a communist government jammed packed with severely corrupt politicians (even worse than ours believe it or not) in a tight circle that will force them to do their bidding on government's behalf.

That concept makes it idealogically impossible for me to reconcile why you want to vote another socialist (very near communist) back into our own office.

You might say that communism works because look at China. They don't have any debt. Looks good on paper but they also have about a couple billion people that are pissed as hell that they are not on the same playing field. The average Chinese just wants to be on the same pay scale, have the same lifestyle as us. But they are treated like crap by their own government who are even more corrupt than our own. But they'll never be able to change it (workers) because the corruption is so rampant and with communism you a government in control of a populace. That is NOT what our founding fathers wanted.

No. They created the system for a reason. They knew there would be gridlock on government decisions and that was on purpose. But I don't know if they knew the country would become so divided as it is now. Lincoln of course had to deal with it at the time of civial war and did it well. But a lot of people died too. We might approaching another event like that (hopefully not violent).

If you were to ask me how I line up politically I would say I am a Tea Partier. I think I could possibly also align myself with OWS because I am just as furious with Wall St and their government minions as they (OWS) are and want something done about the obvious corruption. But they act like entitled assholes and so I won't do that until they help me throw out the damned baby with water and start the hell over.

Pay attention to our business leaders (the ones that actually make things work and go all in spite of politicians). Here is just one link (a local one from yesterday) for you that illustrates that we can all do it together if we just agree that capitalism is not a bad word. Just stop agreeing with politicians and let's get it done together.
