I still pop in here from time to time just to get a laugh at the DB still (after only 1 year of presidency!) RAGING, and I mean like petulant children, about identity politics and OMG! the world is gonna end! No it won't.

C'mon kids settle down. Calm your nerves and lets just talk. Your candidate ran on race, gender and equality and did a real crappy job btw and lost. Its because she (and) you are seriously out of touch with what matters to most of America. It was Obama 2.0 and he was terrible for America and sold us out. Hillary got rich by riding those coattails (as a public servant and our dollars I might add)and so the rest of the world thinks we are easy prey because of those policies.

Let's address your WWIII concerns first. First off, we still(and it will finally become even stronger) have the largest and most advanced military in the world by far. Here in the "rust belt" we are ok and dandy spending our tax dollars on our soldiers (not things like the nefarious and mysterious Clinton Foundation). Even Rocket Man knows he wouldn't stand a chance. It was Bill Clinton that gave him the money that even gave him the idea to begin with that we were were weak and it was Obama that gave Iran the same idea. Neither of those countries have ever been allies and so if you want to discuss inequality and women's rights (which the left seems to be all about) why is it that you overlook the atrocities happening in those two counties. And why are we giving them billions of dollars for deals that we know they are going to blow off?

And on Allies. Trust me, our allies are solid. Brexit? That was the older generation of the UK that steered that ...much to the chagrin of the millenials there. They remember who their friends were in WWII. And they'd also like to have the ability to vote for who is taxing them. Israel? Same thing. Obama short shanked them and so when Trump said we are moving the embassy to the proper place (Jerusalem) we all cheered and so did Israel. Britain and Israel want to be their own countries (as they should) and they are fantastic allies.

You see we are not in favor of a one world order to be ruled by some conflaguration of people that were elected by some other arbitrary group that are probably only in it for themselves well connected clan like Clinton or Kennedy or even Bush. We are sick of it. Trump got rich by capitalism and isn't even a politician. He doesn't care about keeping peace in Washington and you are freaking out over it. He doesn't need the job to validate himself unlike every lying politician out there. He already made his money. He works for me now and doing exactly what he said he'd do.

The truth is, we are the strongest country in the world but it took a hell of a lot of work to get there in the short 220 years (by European standards)and Europe now is a shadow of its' former self. It is just Europe now..there is NO identity there anymore by country. There is in spots but really they have to live by whatever some people they don't know in Brussels say I guess that were elected under mysterious circumstances.

Call it nationalism, I don't care, we do not consider that a bad thing. We want to keep our country. We want to bring it back to what it should be. What our founding fathers fought so damn hard for.

We are not imperialists. We don't want to overtake anybody else. We are only fighting wars against oppressors at this point. And we hate that past administrations that have actually funded those very same people.

You think the new tax plan is a bad thing (saw you mention it twice now) why though? I saw Nancy Pelosi mention yesterday that it only benefits the rich and that everybody else only gets crumbs. Well I'm here to tell you that an extra thousand or two is not crumbs to middle america. How does a woman in public service even get to the level of a net value of 30 million anyway? That is just not right.

And it is easy to say that this will cost us 1 trillion dollars and it will (probably more) but that is ok to us that voted for the orange man because he is a business man and knows how to invest and it is already paying off. Last I heard over 220 large companies have announced $1-2000 bonuses for all employees and even Walmart just announced that they are not just doing that but also increasing their hiring wage by $2/hour. Think about it, that is a positive to well over 2 million middle class workers. And you think this is a bad thing. But remember, it was Obama that took our debt from 10 to 20 trillion in 8 short years. Double what 43 presidents did cumulatively before him. And what did that get us? Nothing. Not even the ones they are supposed to be altruisttic about (the poor). Democrats don't care about spending other people's money so don't even try that argument.

Obama once said that manufacturing wasn't coming back to America. But have you even been watching the news? Here in Ohio we are all about manufacturing and things are lighting back up our plants because now we can be competitive again. No more bad trade deals and we are getting what was promised.

You claimed you were reluctant to compare Trump to Hitler but you did it anyway. And I don't know if you know that you officially broke Godwin's law by doing so. Which means all communication stops immediately. I don't want it to be that way here though and am more than willing to let you guys use me as the local Trump voter and/or whipping post. In all these years you have been pretty civil with me and I appreciate that I really do and I will try to give a different perspective in a civil way if I can. Otherwise this place is just a liberal echo chamber and helps no one. Change my mind. Even if you can save one it will be worth it right? Be aware that the further you move left the further I move right. We need to meet in the middle. Only way it works.

I don't know if you ever saw this or not but just prior to the election (late October 2016) Michael Moore knew better than you did (is he a savant?) about us and here is a speech he did here in Ohio. But it wasn't just Ohio. It Was Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan...any many more here in "the rustbelt"
