I see them as representing Trump's angry, very angry base. Would illicit photos of him with children suffice? How about farm animals? Buddy tattoos with Putin? Truly, is there anything he can do that would shock them and make them recoil in disgust?
How many Americans would willingly take to the streets with weapons if he asked? I fear a lot would. They are so desperate for meaning in their otherwise shallow lives that the sense of identity, and community, and mission, provided by Trump would be like a powerful drug. This is how we lose democracy to these unpatriotic clowns.
