The House already has the votes to impeach Trump, so they will. That's coming. It's going to happen. Trump will be impeached. Then it goes to the Senate and they will be forced to vote on it.
Before you get to anything like this, as Pelosi knows, you take a headcount to see how many votes you have. Pelosi had said before that she would not back impeachment UNLESS she was certain she could get it done.
Well, the rumor is that Pelosi went ahead with the impeachment deal because when the backroom silent headcount was taken of how the vote in the Senate would go, it is said she got her numbers. As of today, and again this is just as of today and who knows how that could change, the silent Senate vote came back 82-18 in favor of impeaching Donald Trump. That's basically a landslide vote from the Senate in favor of impeaching Donny...if it holds.
It's likely to hold, I think, because we're not yet done with shit falling out of Trump's closet.
