Damn, I lost a nearly completed answer.
Oh well.
Hilary just can't shut up. Her resentment of Sanders clouds her every statement.
Sanders is right in his claims about other industrialized nations. They do provide free education and health care. And their citizens willingly pay a lot of tax.
Just think, parents would not need to worry about college tuition for their kids. Nor would they need to worry about "what happens if I get sick."
The need to save for both health and education would relieve unbelievable stress.
In my opinion, it will take another recession that hurts in the pocketbook, or a depression that hurts even more, to convince Americans to consider Sanders's program.
Health and education are essential if we, as a nation, expect to compete with and, just as importantly, empathize with other nations on this planet.
To band together, as citizens who realize the necessity of both, whether or not we have children is a place we haven't entered yet.
In the meantime, we need the strongest political candidate we can get to rescue this nation from the strengthening grasp of a demigod who, like democracy-frightened Putin, cares more for himself than he does for even the voters who put him where he is.
As one who could one day enthusiastically vote for Sanders, this time around is not that day.
