"His gaffes and forgetfulness have been interesting to watch and are different from how I remember him 10-15 years ago."

Honestly, this is one of my major worries about Joe. This and the whole thing with him enjoying lying about his taking part in the civil rights movement and going to black churches when he was a teen. I mean he has been told over and over to stop doing that by his own people and he keeps doing it. My guess is Trump will use this to show that Biden lies openly and because there is ample evidence of this in writing and video...well...it will likely get used. How bad will it hurt Biden? The truth is I'm not sure but Trump is a playground bully type fighter and mainly his goal will be to embarrass Joe...this will probably will work for this. To fight Trump you have to hit him back hard, I do not think Biden out of all the Democrats was the best choice in this department. I think Sanders, Warren, Harris, and even Bloomberg (who I really loathe as a candidate) were all much better suited to punch Trump in the face. I mean Trump pointing out self-aggrandizing lies by someone else should be a total joke...but I regularly display that I am totally clueless as to how people will judge these politicians so...probably best to ignore my thoughts.

OK, so it was not illegal and not corrupt for Hunter Biden to accept a job offer from a foreign company. In fact the goal in the United States with all these politicians is to get any influential Americans they can involved with foreign gas, oil, or energy companies. That is exactly what Rudy, Ron Johnson and Rick Perry were trying to do in Ukraine. So, all the noise about this from the Republicans is utterly ridiculous. Also, it was public knowledge that Hunter had been hired by Burisma and no Republican made a peep about it when it happened in 2014. They are only now trying to make it look like something because Biden is running for president. 

Biden had nothing to do with his son getting hired by Burisma and Joe was actively and aggressively fighting corruption in Ukraine at the time so he obviously did nothing corrupt there. He also did nothing that helped Burisma. So, the accusations of corruption on this are absurd.  

It never looks good when some child of somebody rich, famous, or powerful is handed something that it appears they did not deserve...and yes, Hunter should have considered how that would look...and yes, I am certain the intent of Burisma in hiring Hunter and his company was to hopefully help them curry favor with the United States...but Burisma gained nothing from it and no favor was granted. Hunter was hired to consult on corporate practices not on anything related to the gas industry. So, he was not being asked to provide ANY guidance with regards to things he would not know about. His role was about compliance with legal and ethics issues, conflicts of interest,those sort of things and how best to navigate these issues which as an attorney he certainly should have had the knowledge and skills to assist with. So, yeah, he was qualified to take the job.

So, best case here is you can say Hunter used poor judgement and the best Joe could have done was to tell him that it could look bad if it came up so, if you want to do dad a favor don't accept that job. 

So, where is the crime here? Where is the corruption? This is daily business practice that any Republican would fight tooth and nail to say is "Perfect!" unless they can use it to try to smear a candidate running for president as a Democrat. 

Can you sort of explain what it is you think Joe Biden did?

Well, yes, but typically that's played out many times in our elections. Here's my big issue with Biden being the Democrat's nominee and this thing with Burisma...even though it is ridiculous the Republicans are opening an investigation of Joe and Hunter Biden. They don't need the investigation to show ANY results just to have Biden and his son under some sort of federal investigation while Joe is running for president. 

This creates a very similar situation to Hillary Clinton being under investigation while she was running. Hillary and her email server turned out to be, sort of like this Biden thing, about her poor judgement and a big nothing burger. However, the stink of corruption would not leave Clinton and she horrifically lost to a guy that openly talked about grabbing women by the pussy, and walking through women's and girl's dressing rooms to ogle them while they were nude or in their underwear because he could and nobody would stop him. And that was just one of Trump's smaller public issues. 

At any other time in our history that alone would have doomed any candidate, particularly one depending on Christians to vote for him. 

Here's the thing though that may make the investigation of the Bidens worse than the investigation of Hillary when she was running. Hillary did not have to worry about Bill Barr. Bill Barr is totally corrupt and will lie, leak, and conduct a total sham of an investigation to help Trump. 

Barr is Trump's most dangerous weapon and you can count on him being deployed against Joe Biden...he already has been.
