Icon Two things, Ross...

First, and I don't know why the Democrats and Biden campaign do not do a better job of getting this out there, Hunter and his company were qualified to do what Burisma hired them to do...which was providing legal advice on ethics issues, conflicts of interest, and government compliance. Which means, to advise Burisma on NOT BEING CORRUPT. They were not asking him to consult on how to build gas lines, or improve transport the product or anything involving how the company handles the product. If they hired him for that he certainly would not be qualified. But they didn't. He was hired to provide legal advice...that's what lawyers are for, Ross. Also does anybody know what it costs to hire lawyers for a month? About 17 years ago I hired a law firm for a month and they billed me $30,000 so paying Hunter as an attorney $50,000 a month to consult for an international gas company seems pretty damn reasonable. That's not some giant payoff. That's what lawyers can cost.

Second, if there was an error in judgement it is a cosmetic one committed by Hunter Biden, not Joe, just because Hunter accepting Burisma as a client was not a great look while his father is VP in an administration that was fighting corruption in Ukraine. The only people here that you could sort of call corruption on is Burisma for likely hiring Hunter's company thinking it would help them...and likely not help them in the US but help them in the Ukraine.

If Trump's pals actually had anything, I mean anything at all, they would have started to get it out there. They haven't. They just keep trying to drum up suspicion and keep claiming "Joe has not answered these questions." but they don't even offer what questions he has not answered...because there is nothing to answer for it's a total hoax.

The one thing I will say is that yes, Biden and his campaign have sucked at responding to this stupidity which does not exactly fill me with confidence. I mean they could be sandbagging the Republicans waiting for them to get their investigation rolling then they will finally do an info dump showing there is no wrongdoing but honestly, this is a dumb strategy because the Republicans are not looking to prosecute anybody or even have any results...they just want to interfere in the election by creating "suspicion" around the Bidens. So, Biden, Hunter, and the Democrats should have been all over this.

Sad, but the truth.
