Pre-social media, controlling the narrative would seem like the way to go, but given the siloing of how people get their news, given the hyper-partisan, incredibly challenging times, I think there will be multiple, competing narratives. Consensus, a shared reality, will certainly be elusive. I do hope the folks on the Supreme Court will recognize the gravity of the situation and play the role that the constitution and history will demand of them. It's going to be ugly, and dangerous, and lethal, but the extent of the body count may well end up in the hands of Chief Justice John Roberts. And for that, I'm somehow hopeful.
