Yep, like trying to coax a fly out of a bottle's opening.
A little off-topic here but along the same line of thinking—I was watching 60 Minutes a couple of weeks ago where they had a segment on QAnon. They interviewed a psychologist or psychiatrist, I can't remember which, but he was talking about how his 70-year-old mother is caught up in QAnon and even he is helpless to pull her away from its grip. It was sobering to hear because I have two siblings who are deep in their support for Trump and I now realize that there's really nothing I can do to help them. If I've learned anything over the last few years it's that people will believe what they want to believe regardless of any facts that run counter to their beliefs. As long as they've got their circle of friends and, in my siblings' case, conservative propagandists to assure them the evil Democrats are out to destroy America, that's all that matters.
