First off, Ginger. What can I say. I came to terms a long time ago with the fact that as a human being I have two sides. The intellectual side where I am thinking, pondering, digging deep into my own issues and those of the world and then the animal side. I can't deny either and I won't. Ginger attracts me in that pure animal sense. Her body, her voice, the way she moves. Yes, I realize she is designed to be the stereotypical bimbo but that stereotype exists for a reason. Nature made 'em so we'd chase 'em. It's not a secret and I fall prey to it every time. I don't think of it as a failing it just is how we are made. If other people see it as a fault in me...well...so be it. I am comfortable with that. And hey, Mary Anne is cute, no doubt but if we were on the island we would not be fighting over who hooks up with who.
On the free speech deal, here's what I think...this is one of those things that gets way oversold to us. Primarily by the Right which is both amusing and kind of sick. I see no loss of free speech in this country, none. In fact we have more free speech than ever I think and exist in a state of inundation of speech. Everybody gets every chance to express every idea, good, bad, ugly, dumb, brilliant, that they want.
I think what you are talking about is consequences for that speech and here is what I would say. We are not through government restricting speech. Loony woke leftists are not restricting speech. There is however a big L word group that is restricting speech...LAWYERS.
This basically comes down to another L word, liability. Yes, in education, the corporate world, and in entertainment you are going to find restrictions on free speech. Not our government doing this, the lawyers working for these universities or schools (cities or towns), companies, and the entertainment industry.
I don't agree with any of that either for the most part. I'm as in favor of free speech as they come but what we have, particularly in the areas you have brought up, are people afraid of being dragged into lawsuits that smear their city, town, company, whatever. Everybody is risk averse and so they will not take that risk.
I can 100% guarantee this is not because of politically correct loony leftists. It is all financial and based on the crucifixion Right wing media will dole out because they are always the first people looking to shut down free speech. They hate it. They are also hilariously the first people to abuse free speech so they have you both ways. This is why the Right loves political correctness so much and is smashing people with that a few thousand times a day.
Finally on being labelled loony leftists by Right wing media clowns, who cares. If their lips are moving they are lying and trying to con someone. They label Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton far left. Holy crap, if those guys are far left where the fuck is the center?
