Denmark/Norway/Sweden certainly has a special connection because a fair amount of us have no problem understanding each others languages and frequently uses each other for vacation areas (I personally have a part in a summerhouse in southern Norway and frequently travels through the southern part of Sweden to get to the ferry to a danish island for holidays... As for the Finns, Icelanders, Faeroe Islanders and Greenlanders the language is a problem for those that haven't studied in one of the Scandinavian countries (The Fins has their own higher education, most of the others take all education above high-school in Denmark).

Oh and we all claim to be descendants of the vikings as Mick is keen to teasing us with ;-)

Culturally we're also pretty similar - the swedes a bit more on the woke side and the Norwegians a bit schizophrenic because they are huge nature lovers, but they know that all their wealth comes from oil, but that's about it...

Regarding the EU we tend to agree on most things, apart from the Norwegians who are not real members, because they don't wan't to share the fish with the EU (same thing for island nations).

On the other hand Sweden is the only one who is not a member of NATO, so they claim to be neutral... and actually has a relatively powerful home made military industry to back it up...

Immigration is most certainly an issue and if we don't get it under control, it surely could fracture the EU. However if we are able to manage it (currently Greece is experimenting with infra-sound along their borders and Hungary has a shitload of high barbed-wire fences, Italy are increasingly sailing more boat refugees back to the African coast, when no one is looking, which is kinda illegal ;-) )  then I don't see the EU changing much and the UK will likely rejoin in 10-15 years is my guess. So sayieth the prophet ...🤓
