It could have all too easily gone far worse, Ross. I could envision a slaughter if but a few of the nuts had the appropriate weapons. And I'm not sure all of the dots have been, or will be, fully connected. During my lifetime, this was as ugly as America politics has ever been, and I fear that next time, the nihilists will be better prepared. Or who knows, perhaps weapons won't be required as democracy may be crushed at various state houses.
