Icon Dems keep the US Senate

I think this may very well be a good thing.  Although NOT a registered Republican, I was looking forward to something of a "red wave" this time (not MAGA red, though) as a counterbalance toward what I see as some significant and even possibly ruinous policies of the Biden/Harris combo.  All that said, a situation where the two sides of Congress are split can mean gridlock.  It could also mean - and here's the optimistic part - a return to some more normal and needed political horse-trading.  Out of necessity.  The result of this and just the Dems keeping the Senate ought to almost by definition diminish the MAGA element in the Republican Party, marginalize Trump little-by-little, and force the furthest-left Democrats (who I see as EVEN more Fascist than the MAGAs, which I realize is a bit of a bold statement) a little more to center.  I am cautiously optimistic.
