Icon I don't get it, but hey, it's going to be an interesting two years....

The other day I read a headline that a good portion of the GOP/Trumpies will never leave Trump and I believe that, though I really do not understand it.  I really don't.  These folks are like the Jonestown followers and seem willing to guzzle down the poisoned Kool-Aid while demanding their cups be refilled.

Now, what I find very interesting is the thought of the after-party of the Republican 2024 Primaries, especially if Trump does not win. I believe that Trump will not go away and will pull a Ross Perot and run as an independent and we know what that will mean to the Republican Party.

In fact, the Democratic Party has the potential to be sitting in the catbird seat if Trump wins or loses (I think he will have a good chance of winning the Republican Primary - for some reason, he is the Republican crack cocaine to these cult members).

Sadly, the Democratic Party seems to be so lost when it comes to effective messaging.  For example, right now we have seen a large part of what a Republican House is planning before.  For example, recall when Newt Gingrich and his House shut down the government during the Clinton years?  If they do it again, then most likely they will feel the heat more so than the Democrats.

Next, too many people seem to have forgotten how the Move-On movement originated (again, during the Clinton administration and his infidelity) and the Dems need to push the same sort of narrative with the Hunter Biden tale.  And what really blows my mind about this is that economists and energy experts are predicting next year's energy costs are going to skyrocket and what do the Republicans want to talk about? Hunter Biden and getting House committee revenge.

Right now my main issue with Washington Democrats is they seem to take their successes as pure skill rather than by miscues by the Republicans.
