Well, I'm not pissed off, as I think this will reveal to at least a few more voters, that the Republican party is dead. It's a TV show now rather than a political party. They have no intention to govern, to work to improve our nation, to build or fix anything...they just want to create chaos and get facetime on one of the Right Wing TV networks...mostly FOX, but these people will stand in front of any camera they can to spew total bullshit into.
I laughed out loud at how they actually would say they were doing this for the American people. Really? The majority of the American public did not know what was going on, did not understand what was going on, had no idea what it meant, and certainly did not ask for their "representatives" to do this. This was just all pure power grabs, humiliating people in their own party they have grudges against, demonstration that the MAGA nuts, while having their leader crash and burn, were all going to try to be their own little fascist morons even with Trump playing with himself down in Mar-a-Lago. We now have a vile group of nitwits in the government that is not going away any time soon. Let's look at the analysis of this from the papers:

Far more troubling, McCarthy's cowardly concessions leave the country hostage for the next two years to an extreme fringe of far-right zealots, who threaten to turn the normal operation of government and such typically routine business — like raising the debt ceiling to avoid default and economic catastrophe — into a cliffhanging drama.
Basically here's what we will get. Total chaos in the House chamber. This was a simple procedure, or should have been. McCarthy had the vast majority of his parties support. So, this should have been an easy negotiation on his part to secure the final 15 or 16 votes he needed so when this came to the floor, he was made speaker on the first vote. At worst the second vote after a protest vote showing that some of his party had issues with him. Nope, McCarthy just moved his stuff into the speaker's office and let the shit flinger's go crazy. Why? Because McCarthy is as spineless as politicians come. He is in the Ted Cruz category of worthless, cringeworthy, pile of shit scented gelatin.
Let's keep this straight here, McCarthy is a "leader" in the Republican party. Seriously. He can't even lead his party in a simple vote for speaker.
What will be interesting here, since McCarthy gave these idiots the power, is to see how fast one of them, because it now only requires one of them, calls for a vote to vacate McCarthy from the speaker's chair. Anybody that thinks people like Matt Gaetz, or Boebert, or any one of these clowns won't do this is out of their minds. This Republican congress will be the ultimate storm of shit flinging, not just at Democrats, these people are special and will slaughter and eat their own. Not over principals, ethics, ideas, and certainly not for the American people who they give a flying fuck about...nope...they will do it to get on TV.
The point of this whole thing was for the idiots to gain power and reduce the speaker to nothing more than a tiny speedbump in the road. The plan for these morons is for the government to be frozen while they go on a lunatic spree of pointless nonsense investigations to generate more time for them on FOX. Hunter Biden, the FBI, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, how there were no Trump supporters attacking the Capitol on January 6th, that the Trump supporters in jail are heroes, that they are heroes, it will be chaos because this is what they love the most. They want chaos and destruction of the government, of the country, of the American people.
These nutjobs now have McCarthy over a barrel. He either goes along with them or they, any one of them, votes to vacate him. Well, done Kev, enjoy the ride.
