This is one of the simple ways to catch a guy like Trump that leaks info. Feed him specific bad info and then when that info is out in the open, you know where it came from.
Trump was long known as a leaker. A guy that loved to share secret or private info. He thought it was cool, just as he said in the recording they have of him sharing classified information. So, would it be far-fetched that Trump's love of leaking would get used against him?
