So, I hope you are keeping in your notes, Pat, that the reason the House Speaker position is so weak is that little deal McCarthy did where he allowed the MAGA nuts to change the rules so it only takes one of them to raise a vote to can the House Speaker. That means if they manage to get Scalise in as speaker, and there may be a fight over that, he is in the same position as Kevin McCarthy was...on a real short leash to be ousted. I think the Republicans think that nobody will oust Scalise because he has blood cancer and was once shot by a nut while at a baseball practice.
I don't know if you think Scalise is "strong" but I think he is pretty sleazy because he liked to call himself "David Duke without the baggage" and hang out with Duke and other white supremacists. He's also one of the nuts that won't admit Trump lost the 2020 election. All they really came up with was this wacko and Jim "Sure sexually molest the kids on my wrestling team and I will look the other way!" Jordan. I mean this is the kind of lowlifes the Republicans want to nominate for Speaker?
Kevin may not have been any great shakes but I don't think you could call these guys better...could you?
