I guess, they want McHenry to be a temporary solution with full powers for a month so not a real solution but able to keep the government funded and pass the funding for the ongoing wars that are raging.
Apparently, several Republicans told Jordan directly what they think of him. He's a worthless pile of garbage that is only good for kissing Trump's ass and doing idiotic stuff to get on TV. Those are his accomplishments. So, if they need a guy to tell them what Trump's ass smells like, Jim is the man!
Here is one of Jordan's Republican colleagues telling him exactly what he thinks about Jordan and his love of Trump's bum...he refers to Trump as a she here because...well...we know why...
