But the user of these for social manipulation purposes need not have any belief in them at all, other than as a tool to manipulate someone who may themselves be attracted by the occult. Churchill did not sign on to Aleister Crowley's beliefs, but he recognized a discrete, (not discreet) cellular, veiled-identity network when he saw one, and its mechanical value as a clandestine communication tool.
