So, Mick, as I understand it, your take away from this starts correctly—that the current US president, due to the US's long-faded role as enforcer of Pax Imperium does not have the power to stop the rise of jingoists and chaos agents and right-wing extremists around the world like the Modis, Trumps, Erdogans, Wilders and Netanyahu's Likudniks, etc...

Yet this same current US president is still responsible for all the death in Gaza, and the current US Secretary of State in particular is guilty of conspiring in it.

So, was Obama responsible for the civil war in Aleppo? Was John F. Kennedy responsible for the French slaughters in Algeria? Was Harold Wilson responsible for the US's demented war against Vietnam? Was Richard Nixon responsible for Bloody Sunday and the Troubles? Or Herbert Hoover or Theodore Roosevelt? Was William McKinley responsible for England's massacres in the Boer War?

"Yes," you seem to answer, after discovering the Federation of American Scientists'  doomsday clock.

Then, after repeatedly implying that I am "ok with little children being murdered" you go on to imply that the desperate daily battles we are fighting to keep control of the US military and domestic and international political apparatus out of the hands of the unabashedly fascist Trumpists is a local, parochial matter, and not of real import either in Ireland or in your newly discovered global landscape. To which I offer in response a polite 'go to hell.'

Also, Iran is not on the brink of obtaining nuclear weapons, and North Korea has had them for years.
