That is the rub isn't it... As soon as terrorism and/or actual war enters the situation, then international law flies out the window... To put it bluntly, it is a stable of the entertainment industry to make people accept that fact. 

Personal belief system - hmmm well protestant upbringing, but no confirmation at 14, due to the fact that the priest who I was assigned didn't want to discuss religion after we had watched Jesus Christ Superstar. I found that profoundly irritating and besides most of the class just wanted the gifts and money... So not for me. Did go to church at the occasional Xmas for the next 15 years, but finally did opt out of the state church of Denmark 20-25 years ago. Only been there at burials ever since.
