...and exactly what that brilliant orangutan did...got in my golf cart and listened to some good music as I drove to the banana store! This was too good Reg and made me laugh! You always come up with the best responses!

I decided I probably needed a day away from podcasts and news while I was driving around NW Georgia for work today. I put on Fleetwood Mac and tried not to think about TFG and MTG and all of the other crazies we have running around. When I got home, I didn't tune it out as well though, because while I didn't watch my usual couple of MSNBC shows, I did opt to watch God + Country doc. I didn't quite finish it yet because it was a bit overwhelming with a ton of evangelical White Christian Nationalist info. Sounds like most of the people who live around here: you know, the south isn't called the Bible Belt for nothing.

Now I'm thinking that the psychologist in the support group is just trying to keep me in the group so she can "save" me and then I'll give my life to Jesus or some shit. THEN I'll be ready to vote for trump, you know, since he is the 2nd coming of Christ and all. And I'll be able to share conspiracy theories with her too!

All kidding aside, watching Bad Faith and now God + Country has really helped me to see how people can vote for him and actually believe what he tells them. They don't see him any differently than they see Jim Bakker, or Jerry Falwell, or Joel Osteen, or Paula White or any other televangelist. If you listen to them and believe that God told them that you need to give them most of your money so Jesus can return and all of the other crap they feed people, then it's not too far of a stretch to believe what trump says. Sad but true...
