I go back and forth as well. Many of the pundits (however much they say is worth) have talked about how connected a jury is to the judge and the fact that the judge has been disrespected so much by the defense is very bad for trump. As far as a mistrial, "they" have said this is possible but unlikely because the jury will not be able to just say one time "we can't agree on a verdict." They will be sent back over and over to come to a unanimous verdict.

As far as this being a crime that only affected the people who voted for him, I would beg to differ...greatly. This affected everyone of us, especially those with family and friends who died during the mishandled pandemic, or who still have not been reunited with their parents when they were separated at the border, or those who had all paperwork ready to emigrate to the USA only to have trump close immigration in one fell swoop. Not to mention the women who now cannot get the reproductive care that they want and may even die without or may never be able to have children due to complications from pregnancies that needed to be terminated to prevent those outcomes. That Supreme Court that he put in place will be there for a good deal of the adult life of my children and it won't bring about good decisions. I could go on but I don't want to belabor the point.

The judge is the one who has the final say so in the sentencing. The jury will only decide guilt or innocence and will not be able to comment on the sentence they'd like to see, as far as what I've been able to learn. If found guilty and sentenced to jail, then I think he needs to go to jail. His supporters already think this is a sham, blah, blah, blah. We cannot let justice not be carried out because his followers will get mad. How long do we have to kowtow to them?

Yes, the documents case is FAR MORE SERIOUS, but with Judge Cannon in charge, I seriously doubt it will even go to trial. I would not be at all surprised if she dismisses the case or gives a directed Not Guilty verdict before the jury gets the case. I really hope that Jack Smith is continuing to gather evidence to present to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals for a Writ of Mandamus to get her kicked off of the case SOON.

The Georgia case won't be happening for at least a year, I've heard, because it will take that long for the GA Supreme Court to hear and act on the appeal. It will go to trial in a year IF the Ga Republicans don't find a way to get rid of DA Willis and insert someone to "clean up" the "awful" Fulton County (translated as the county that is majority minority so it HAS to be corrupt and full of crime). You know they want to replace the accomplished black woman with someone who is white, male, and republican. They've been passing bills in the State House to have control over DAs since DA Willis and 14 other minority DAs were elected in 2020 AND since she indicted trump.

Then, of course, we could look toward the DC J6 case. I'm not at all confident that the Supreme Court will not say that presidents, or rather one particular president, has "absolute immunity" from 1/20/16 until the day he dies. All of his life, trump has basically had "absolute immunity" and that is why we are where we are today: staring into the abyss of full on fascism.

It is time he faces the music IF he's found guilty, of course. (Oh please, please, please find him guilty.)
