Hey Boogieman,
I see you have a big heart, and I only can apologize
for my inappropriate tirade.
Some background, not that it excuses my childish outburst,
but after a knock at my back door last night, I shortly thereafter found my self in the company of a very attractive, but as it turned out, psychotic young woman. As the story goes, "we drank and talked, and talked and drank", but the content of the discourse was moderately disturbing and perturbing to say the least. When I returned to my humble desk, to read Emails, I was well lubricated; an earlier "bad day at the office", didn't help the old emotional thermostat either. I read your message, and the reaction in the temporal lobe was something like," Why that so and so, how dare anyone say such things about my beloved Gordon Lightfoot etc..", this being transmitted to my fingers with the resultant venomous reply.
Again, I apologize profusely; you are the better man of the both of us for your civilized restraint in reply.
As Ornette Coleman was once quoted, "All listeners are equal in their opinion", I would have to concur. We like what we like for various reasons. I grew up in Canada; Lightfoot was a folk hero, our "Dylan", in fact, which I'm sure has a lot to do with my love of his music. But I love Dylan's music also. This morning, I listened to Blonde on Blonde AND Don Quixote; both powerful, both magic.
Again, please forgive me. I hope we will be friends and share further discourse.
