Just recently there was the prom queen who was released from prison after serving only three years. She gave birth to her baby in the restroom while at her prom dance. She left her baby to die in the trash while she went back out on the dance floor and partied the night away. For that she was given three years in prison. Was that justice?

Hello.

The young lady who killed her baby in the bathroom was not a liberal, nor do liberals support such actions. The girl who killed her baby was selfish and wrong, not liberal.  Your comments infer that folks like myself support this kind of thing or that our lack of concern for all the babies leads murder.

Liberals support a society where if a woman becomes pregnant, she does not feel forced to dump an infant in the trash for fear of (insert fear here, there are too many to mention.)  Part of my job as a social worker/counselor is finding places for the thousands of unwanted children to live.  As someone with liberal tendencies (less so the older I get) the answer isn't abortion or outlawing it.  The answer is a society that will take care of its children once they're born.  Shoving society back 50 years will not remedy the problem.  You know about the methods used back then, don't you Kevin?

I appreciate and admire your fervor.  I think I've asked you this once before...have you adopted any children?  Have you supported local and state agencies that help find permanant homes for unwanted children?  I hope you have.  I will be speaking to about 30 kids today that have no where to go.

Personally, I'm a living testimony of why abortion is a bad idea.  I was an unwanted kid who was fortunate enough to be adopted by a really amazing family.  So, I support you there.  My adoption was made possible by a decidedly liberal state and local government and supported by a like minded citizens.  Had my natural mother felt she had no adoption options, I could have easily ended up a casualty.

If you can read this, thank a bleeding heart.
