T'was just at one of my favorite guitar stores just now and found a mid 70's Gibson Marauder (sp?) and I played it and I LOVED it. I've been in the market for a new guitar lately but this one has really nasal sounding mids, smooth playing and is really odd looking. Anyone ever own one? Can anyone tell me more about the weird plastic covered pickups?
It's all original save one really cool modification. It has a three way switch to activate the two pickups (one single, one double coil) and the mini toggle allows the double to split to give it a really honky strat-esque sound one wouldn't expect from this guitar. The only thing I didn't like was the Flying V headstock which really makes it look goofy. Anyway, have a great day.
