I know it does no good though. I know that for MAGA people the suffering in other parts of the world does not matter. If it not happening outside their door, they can and will ignore that and in some cases some of them will even say those people deserve it. Musk and Trump openly announce daily they don't care, and it does not seem to bother their followers. 

I have a friend that was once a staunch Republican, his words to me years ago echo in my head all the time. 

"They have to suffer and be punished for them to understand or change their minds." 

He was talking about Republican voters. I know we mostly want to put it on them but just what we are talking about in this thread shows...those people have no idea what they voted for. What they asked for. I mean some do. Some want this stuff. They no longer want a democracy but many of them, they have no clue. 

There is a scene from a movie and I can't remember what the film was or who the actors were but one character does something so self-destructive that the other character is in awe and he says to him:

"You poor dumb son of a bitch. You poor dumb bastard. What have you done? What have you done?"

And that's what I feel about a lot of these people. They don't know what they have done or what it is going to bring. They made a stupid, self-destructive decision based on a bunch of lies and nonsense they were sold.

Argument phase is over, we are now just in the phase of having to deal with what they did.
