The well being of family is always paramount to everything else. And after all of the years of your blood, sweat, and tears, and everything else you've put into your book coming together in production in SIX WEEKS is spectacular!!!! Everyone has their own gifts/talents/work to add to whatever struggle we are going through. I would say that your history lessons and analysis of history on DBIS has been doing quite a bit for those of us who are open to listening and learning!

I know, for me at least, that over the last 3 years that I have known you, I have learned so much about the history of the 20th Century that I never really knew before or only knew bits and pieces of. Knowing that history so much better now-I know I still have lots more to learn of course-has really helped prepare me for (waves arms around madly) this. You have taught, at least me, so much, and your analysis has helped me prepare for and understand events much better and I would bet that I'm not the only one.

On another topic, my son works in DC at the DHS in Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction as a Journeyman Analyst-about to get promoted to Senior Analyst. Just last week, he had to brief the Undersecretary of DHS on the latest intel or whatever. Most of the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction programs are in the Department of Defense, but my son's program concentrates on making sure that local locations are prepared when disaster like this strikes. In our family text group this afternoon, we got the following text from him:                                                                                                   "The National Nuclear Security Administration (the folks in charge of securing our nuclear weapons and reactors) just had to terminate about 300 of their 1800 employees. That’s along with the nearly 500,000 probationary employees in the federal government who are being fired or at risk of being fired en mass over the last day. "

As my younger son said "What could go wrong?"
