Pat, I know you're smater than that. I'm guessing you know the answer and you're only trying to drag this into some sort of us against them thing so I look paranoid and you look sane. Well...do yourself a favor and google the words 'patriot act' and play close attention to the sites NOT run by the DOJ and your man Ashcroft. The PA specifically allows law enforcement officials to conduct searches and wire taps w/o a court ordered warrent (actually, a judge does issue a "warrent", but he can't say no...so it's more or less a rubber stamp). The PA also allows searches of third party sources of info like a library w/o your notification or the consent of the third party...better yet...they won't even tell you after the fact. This is a definate reversal of what was allowed pre-PA. But hey...as long as you have your trusty automatic weapon...everything will be ok.
