One day Hannity had a guy on the radio from New York state that had registered a hand gun and was waiting for confirmation(had been waiting like 9 months because for some reason in New York it takes FOREVER to get it approved). Anyhoo in the meantime a guy breaks into his home downstairs with his wife and child upstairs and the homeowner calls down to the robber not to come upstairs because he has a gun. The robber(convicted felon on drugs) comes up anyway and the homeowner proceeds to shoot and maim(not kill the guy). The District Attorney of New York was going after the homeowner to make an example of him for shooting an unregistered handgun. I kid you not. This is how ludicrous this thing is. The homeowner had no prior legal problems.
