Let me be clear.  I am not for censorship in any form.

 I don't feel that "cleaning up" the quotes section of vindictive posts would even come close to being censorship (maybe in the truest sense of the term but not in the spirit). Not every single last space is sacred ground. Just read through all the posts and you'll find that all kinds of ideas are presented and debated here. Nothing seems to be off limits. With freedom comes responsibility.  There is no Bill of Rights as it pertains to the DBIS.

If certain people want to use sections of this site to "beat down" or malign certain other members, then they run the risk of forfeiting their privilege of being heard here. It’s like having a driver’s license. It’s a privilege not a right. Too many screw-up, guess what, no more license. I think the same idea exists here. Come, observe, contribute, and learn. But if you become a destructive and divisive presence... you’re gone (I'm not speaking to you directly)

I have no say in what may or may not be removed from the sight. Thankfully that’s not my job. Nor do I feel that the ones who run this board have practiced censorship, at least not the kind where they remove something because they find it out of line with their beliefs. I think there have been things that were removed due to their personal nature. I have never felt as if there was an active desire on anyone’s part to stifle the flow of ideas here. Perhaps to shape them or maybe even to get them back on a productive course, but not to omit ideas out of hand.
