Every musician and group I've ever been around, country, rock or folk, used duct tape for something: strapping down power cords, holding up microphones, holding amplifier cases together, you name it. I once carried a friend's $25,000 violin to the car after a classical performance and damned if the handle on her fiddle case wasn't wrapped in duct tape.Considering its current indispensability, how did people like Mozart and Scott Joplin manage to make music without duct tape?
