Reg,

Good points.  We all have to do what we think is best and realize that not everyone is going to agree with us.  Some will have valid reasons and others will not.  Take from those with valid reasons and try to learn with hopes of imparting some wisdom in return.  I’d like to think that by changing hearts and minds we can stop abortion but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.  It’s an interesting political issue with my in-laws.  They’re dyed in the wool democrats from the Iron Range in northern Minnesota but yet they’re staunchly prolife.  My wife attended the democratic caucuses in the early ‘80s and naively spoke up in support of a prolife position.  She was humiliated and on her way out of the room decided she was switching parties.  I’m not sure how I could be a democrat and hold onto my prolife beliefs.  I know that some do…my in-laws for example.

I’m actually quite moderate on some social issues.  Some of that I think has to do with people I’ve met in the art community in the Twin Cities.  They’re some very good friends even though we’re miles apart politically.  Maybe they just want me around as their token conservative.  J

We all live our lives the best we can and are the sole owners of them.  I know you and I disagree in many areas but I’m certain you’re a good guy. You’re passionate about what you believe and I have no doubt we’d help each other out if the need ever presented itself.
