Icon Common tactics of the Bush Admin...

Well Folks, here we go again with the common Bushleague political tactics. First a member of his cabinent labels a group of people he does not agree with as a "terrorist organization" (And we all know, if some Democrat had called the Christian Coalition or some other religous group something similar to what Paige did, that Democrat would be looking for a new job right now.) and next Bush has now sunken to new lows by catering to the hard right with his backing of an amendment to the Constitution in regards to marriage.

Hopefully Cheney's health stays good because it will be interesting to see him in a debate about this issue. We'll get to see if he stands by his flesh and blood or takes the coward way out and sticks to his ideology.

Years ago there was this comedian who did a great peace on heterosexual men and their fear of gay men. His bit said that if a foreign army ever wanted to beat our armed forces, all they would have to do is field a platoon of gay men. Then he went into great deal describing what it would look like and how our troops would hysterically run off the battlefield, dropping their firearms while grabbing their belts and holding on for dear life.

He then went on and said that for heterosexual males to get over this irrational fear, that as soon as a male turned eighteen he should have to be anally serviced by a gay man. This comedian then described the skit. On the 18th birthday, Johnny is upstairs, the doorbell would ring and Betty Crocker Mom would answer the door. She opens the door to see the man and yells up to tell Johnny that the "man" is here. He yells down, "Oh Ma, Stevie said it felt 'wwwweeeiiiiirrrrrrrrddddddd.' "

I hope that the above isn't seen as offensive, because it is not meant to be. I am so sick and tired of Bush and all his jackass chronies dividing this country and playing on the irrational fears of people. Let's face it, there is an important issue in regards to civil unions. Think of it, how many times have you went to see a sick friend in the hospital and been told by hospital staff that only family can go in? I know it has happened to me. Or what about life long decisions that need to be made that have no legal standing under our current policies?

Something needs to be done and Bush et al needs to get off the fear side of issues and quit dividing the country over issues such as these.

(Isn't it bizarre how prophetic some of Dean's remarks have turned out to be? Recall, he predicted Shurb would turn to dividing us by issues such as this.)
