Oddly, I became a Jerry Jeff fan through the backdoor. I was into David Bromberg (still am) back in the 70's, who was JJW's sideman in the 60's / early 70's I think. I didn't really pay much attention to Jerry Jeff until much later. He's definately a classic though.
