Ed,

I read most of the Q and A's in the Washington Post this morning.  All of his answers were either evasive or did not answer the questions posed at all. 

I think this is shameful.  A dark hour for the country.

The other issue that is extremely troubling, is that troop committment will increase.  At present, this is being done by "recycling" current troops (absolutely contrary to what they were initially told), and extending tours of duty, well beyond what is reasonable.  Bush is avoiding the harder choice (I think largely to preserve popularity come election time),  of dipping deeper into regular forces, or re-activating the draft, which will be necessary if there is further military expansion.
