What is to keep our government from pressuring Canada to extradite those avoiding the draft by staying in Canada? I think it is pretty clear that matters will esculate in Iraq and then the middle east generally; which would necessitate more human resources on our governments part. How can it not esculate, it may only be a war of greed on our part, when it is a religious war in our chosen opponents minds. I blame the last 3 decades of our federal government because they ignored the best interest of the american people, when they didn't insist on energy independence by inovation; and let the rest of the world fend for themselves in the middle east. I predict the draft will return and that like the majority of our history, the rich who wish to, will be allowed to avoid service in the trenches.
