I've never heard the song but thank you. 

I had to take my mother's 15 year old dog, Barney, into the vet yesterday to be put down.  The poor guy was suffering quite a bit.  I stayed there with him until he was gone and I was struck by the compassion of the doctor and her assistant.  I couldn't help but wonder how much better their job would be if it weren't for the steady supply of animals to be euthanized.

It causes me to wonder what type of person dressed in doctors scrubs, having sworn to do no harm can sustain themselves upon a regular diet of aborted life and then go home and hug their children.  But I'm the one being singled out on the board for being out of touch and out there.  I don't expect I'll be changing any hearts, minds or perspectives here but I think to not try is wrong.

Hell, for all I know you guys are right and Bush lied about wmd and the reasons for going to war but I truly believe that he is concerned with human rights and it's quite possible that he was willing to bend the intelligence data in his favor for a greater good...I have no problem with that.  When did being on the side of protecting human rights become such an unpopular position to take?
