I wouldn't expect anything other than a continued silence Dan. It's not in Bush's interest to acknowledge or point out just how badly things are going in Iraq. Worse than we're lead to believe I think. Even Rumsfeld says he didn't expect the amount of anger, violence, and resistance our troops are receiving.

They have no plan. Never did. American soldiers will remain in Iraq until the US death toll becomes intolerable to Americans. We will then pull out hurriedly with a few feeble salutes and excuses and a flimsy provisional government in place; soon to topple or become another Saddam. Perhaps we'll hang a "Mission Accomplished" banner across the airfield as the last plane departs.
